The film is about the last days of the first expedition of humans on Mars. As a member of the Tantalus believes that he has an astounding discovery - fossilized traces of a microbial ever existed on that planet. Wanting noone to win the glory, he disobeys orders, takes the supplies and conducted an expedition.
